Today there are thousands of people jumping on an airplane and are off to see the world. They are bound for Japan, Cabo San Lucas, Hawaii, Australia and many other points across the water. They all would like to see as much of this planet as possible in the time they have on it.

I don't blame them either. I would like to stick around until I saw every inch of my home world. That kind of sounds like Star Trek doesn't it? Beam me up Scotty!

These are all wonderful places to visit and, of course, there are many, many more. I'll admit, there are a lot of places I would like to visit also. But there are also some wonderful places to see right here in our own country.

Thats right, right here in the good old USA. There is history in every state in the union. I don't think anyone has seen all there is to see in America. Make your plans before you are ready to leave. And don't forget to include those often overlooked items. Get your vacation shopping done before you leave.

The western states of Arizona, California and Oregon are full of historic places very suitable for a family vacation. And it can all be seen and visited without the need of a passport.

A vacation can be a family affair or one can travel alone. Traveling the highways and byways can be an interesting trip no matter how it is done.

Many people choose to drive the family car while others prefer all the luxuries of a  motorhome. While a few daring people choose to travel by motorcycle.

I think it would be a real delight to follow the path of Wyatt Earp or some other historic figure on my Harley through Southern California, Arizona and New Mexico. By the way, be sure to check out my Harley Page While you are here.

How much of this country have you taken the time to visit? Have you seen it all? Have you covered half of our great nation?

I know I have not seen all there is to see of this part of the planet. There are still a lot of sights I want to see and intend to see. And they are all right here in my home country. The good old USA.

Later on we will also travel the Mid-West states and explore a few of the beautiful and scenic parks, rivers and lakes that each has to be seen and enjoyed.

There are so many good places to visit in the west the fun will never run out. Here is another place to check out for summer fun.
