To many people Arizona is more than just a favorite vacation spot. Thousands of travelers find Arizona as a second home. It is a winter favorite. A lot of folks pack up some of their belongings, board up their homes and make an annual trip to sunshine and warmth in the desert area of Arizona. Cities like Sedona, Scottsdale and Yuma grow considerably during the winter months as people from almost every state in our great nation snowbird their way into Arizona. The Snowbirds become one of the states primary sources of income. Along with their families and belongings they bring money to spend in the area of their choice. Many of the snowbirds actually purchase homes, pay their taxes and consider an area of Arizona to be their residence for 6 months each year. When you vacation in Arizona be sure to explore everything and consider all the options. You may find that you can appreciate everything the state has to offer and you too may become a residential snowbird. And by the way, along with the mountains, rivers and streams, golf courses and deserts there really is some snow. In the higher elevations one can find snow late into the summer. So when you go don't forget the skis.
