There is a lot more to California than its history and theme parks. California also has mountains and deserts, winter wonderlands and timber country. People can visit any of the many state park or enjoy the water sports along the Pacific Shoreline.

Everything is available from fishing and scuba diving to mountain and rock climbing to even a little prospecting.

There are snow towns if you like skiing and the desert for those who like it hot. One spend a little time in Yosemite National Park, play in the snow on Mt. Shasta or wonder through the Giant Redwoods on the coast   highway.
