There are many more places in Oregon that will excite the family and surly put a smile on the faces of your children. I have made several trips through Oregon over the years and have found several places that definitely caught my attention. As I drove the I5 freeway I noticed a sign about an Enchanted Forest. I passed that sign many times and never bothered to stop. I didn't stop because my mind kept telling me that with all the rain Oregon had the Enchanted Forest would be no more than a nature walk. I was wrong. The Enchanted Forest has a lot more to offer than one would expect. What started as not much more than that nature walk I mentioned has grown through the years into a magnificent Amusement and theme park. This little park now has rides, characters, quaint fairytale villages, water and light shows and even a touch of Europe. They are located just 7 miles south of Salem on the Interstate 5 freeway. Be sure to check the schedule if you are planning on being in the area. During the early months of the year there are times that the weather does not want to cooperate. You can find all the information you need right here at Enchanted Forest. Don't miss this bit of Oregon fun. Farther South on Interstate 5 near the California border is Ashland. Ashland is another great place for entertainment and culture. In Ashland one can enjoy the Oregon Shakespearean Festival.
Enjoy the fine works of Shakespeare. An annual event which has become know nationwide. Preformed by professional Shakespeare players. Along with Shakespeare the Ashland area is home to some very fine skiing accommodations. Another good reason to visit and vacation in Oregon. There is also some fine vineyards and wine tasting, white water rafting plus golf and fishing. So grab a fishing pole or golf club and join us in Ashland, Oregon. It is a part of your vacation you will never regret. (Click the picture)
