We don't care how you do it, but do it. By motorcycle, car, train or plane. Just head on in to Oregon for your next vacation. There is a lot more to Oregon than most people think.

Oregon has its share of mountains, valleys, rivers and streams. Plenty of farms and ranches, industries and businesses. Tall trees and good fishing and hunting.

There is also an abundance of history hidden in the hills waiting to be discovered by someone like you. There are stories of Chinese people working in small gold mines in an area know as China Flats.

Gold was also discovered in small towns like Jacksonville and Gold Hill. In the 1850's gold was discovered in an Oregon wilderness near Medford. The word of the discovery spread and soon the town of Jacksonville emerged.

Oregon has many small towns and several not so small towns. Just over the California border is the town of Brookings. A little farther up the coast is the tourist town of Bandon by the sea. Noted for "Old Town Bandon".  A little town once destroyed by fire and rebuilt to what it is today.

Travel onward to the north and you can find Coos Bay, Reedsport, Eugene, Salem and on to Portland. Portland is one of the the largest city in Oregon offering industry, manufacturing and of course, dinning and other festivities.

Portland is also proud to present the annual Portland Rose Festival. An event that has been a part of the city almost forever.

Oregon also holds the history of the Oregon Trail. The struggles and hardships of the journey from the east to the west coasts.

Oregon has many other places to visit and enjoy. Check out the Oregon Coast site here and find things and places of interest to you and your family. Places like Sea Lion Caves, where one can visit live Sea Lions in their natural habitat.

The Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport is another must see for any traveler. Here you can actually walk under water and enjoy sea life as you have never seen it before.
