San Francisco

 

Francisco is one of the most popular cities on the coast of California along with San Diego and Las Angeles. San Francisco is the Golden Gate City. San Francisco is also known as the Gateway to the Pacific. Its a city filled with excitement and adventure.

The San Francisco 49ers and the national football league, Candlestick Park and the Super Bowl are a big part of the city by the bay.

There is also the Major League Baseball's San Francisco Giants, Willie Mays, Willie McCovey and Barry Bonds just to mention a few.

San Francisco is a city which in 1906 lay in shambles and fire when it was nearly totally destroyed in an earthquake. But it refused to die.  Today it is one of the largest and thriving cities on the west coast.         

Besides baseball and football San Francisco is host to many entertainments which include museums, art centers and many exquisite restaurants. People from around the world enjoy the fine dining offered in San Francisco.

While visiting the City by The Bay be sure to take a few moments to visit the famous Wax Museum, the ever popular Fisherman's Wharf and old Chinatown.

Another must while in San Francisco is a ride on the nations only rolling national monument, the famous cable cars on the San Francisco hills.

 

With all San Francisco has to offer it has to be a must on anyone's vacation plans. Be sure to include it when you plan your travels.

There are many interesting places to vacation along the west coast. Take the ferry from Washington to Astoria in Oregon and on down to Newport, Florence, Coos Bay and Bandon

 

Then across the Oregon, California border to San Francisco, L.A., and all the way to San Diego.
